Kirk Guyote, 62, of Bridge City, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 am, Friday, Sept. 6, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Brother Harold Nazworth. Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born in Port Arthur, on April 16, 1951, Kirk was the son of Morris Anthony Guyote, Jr. and Helen Marie Devillier Guyote. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and later worked as an Engineering Manager for Signal International. Kirk loved working in the yard and on his car. He was especially passionate about carpentry.

Kirk was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his wife, Karla Rita Guyote of Bridge City; daughter, Bobbie Jo Lutz and husband, Brad of Red Lion, Pa; son, Dave Guyote and wife, Donna of Houston; daughter, Darla Garland of O’Fallon, Mo; grandsons, Brent and Jasen Garland, both of O’Fallon, Jonathan Lutz of Red Lion; brothers, Freddie Guyote and wife, Cathy of Bridge City, Richard Guyote and wife, Terry of Sulphur, La; and sisters, Lynette MacCammond and husband, Mike of Bridge City, and Roxie Hanks and husband, Bobby of Vidor.
