Robert “Bob” Arnold, 77, of Bridge City, died Monday, Sept. 2, at Hemann Hospital in Houston.

Friends are cordially invited to join the family for a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at First Baptist Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be the the Rev. Bob Boone.

Born in Gilmer, TX., on April 11, 1936, Bob was the son of Robert Jackson Arnold and Ella Simmons Arnold. He was a former resident of Port Neches and had lived in Bridge City for the past 19 years

Following his graduation from high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. While in the Air Force, Bob had been stationed in England, Turkey, Canada as well as state side. After his retirement from the Air Force, Bob worked at several companies before beginning a career with Trinity Industries. He retired from Trinity in 2007.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two sons and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Hattie Arnold of Bridge City; two daughters, a son; a special niece; a brother; a sister; seven grandchildren; and his special pet, Zoie.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.
