Ruby P. Holst, 86, of Vidor died Tuesday, Sept. 3, in Tomball. A native of Hamilton, TX., she was a longtime resident of Vidor, and a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, at Memorial Funeral Home.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Silas Hols;, sons John Wayne Holst, and Jack Holst.

Ruby is survived by her daughters, Charlene Houseman, and husband, John of Lehigh Acres, FL., and Nancy Elizabeth Smith, and husband, Ronald of Tomball, TX.; honorary daughter, Anne Roberts, and husband Richard of Orange; 10 grandchildren: Donald Glenn Brown of Vidor, Tammy Brown of Houston, John Houseman and wife Kim of Vidor, Shelly Houseman of Lehigh Acres, Rachel Wink of Spring, Silas Wayne Holst of Vidor, Dana Holst of Pasadena, TX., Rhonda Kay Redmon of Magnolia., Rodney Holst and Richard Holst both of Houston; numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
