Lois Beryl Dickey, 93, of Orange passed away on Sunday, Sept. 8, at The Meadows Nursing Home in Orange. A native of Jayess, Ms., she was born July 22, 1920 to Margerita Violet Alta Beryl Wolfe and Kirby Horace Barnett.

She lived most of her life in Orange, and was a member of McDonald Baptist Church. Lois had worked for Sears for many years, in the advertising department, and as a sales clerk. She enjoyed going bowling, working in the yard, social activities and singing at church. Lois was a loving mother, wife, daughter, grandmother, and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ollis Mathew Dickey; sisters, Betty Jean Dixon, Frances B. Martin; and brother, Duane S. Barnett.

She is survived by her daughters, Marlynne Harrison Gilmore and husband, Bill of Orange, Gail Hinson and husband, Jerald of Mauriceville; sons, Robert M. Jackson and wife, Esther of Mauriceville, Ulen Glen Jackson and wife, Wanda of Georgetown, Roger O. Dickey and wife Karen, of Dallas; and sister, Iris Ellen Shrode of Beaumont.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Dorman Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial gardens near Bridge City.

Honoring Mrs. Dickey as pallbearers are her grandsons.
