Martha “Marty” Rose Jardell, 82, of Orange, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

She was born in Tangier, IN., July 29, 1931 to Geneva C. (Lewis) and Hrista Mural Day. She lived in the Orange area since 1973; prior she had lived in Vinton. She was of the Catholic faith, and enjoyed working with stained glass and crocheting. She had managed apartments in Bridge City, and had worked at Delta Downs as a placing judge. Marty was a loving and caring person who will be missed dearly by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Day; first husband, Virgil Bond; sister in law, June Day, five brothers and six sisters.

Marty is survived by her husband, Robert Jardell of Orange; daughter, Janice Breumer of Crawfordsville, IN; son, Bob Peterman and wife, Debbie of Brownsburg, IN; sisters, Wanda Ratcliff of Covington, IN, Nora Ann Day, and Mary Abbie Fischer, and husband, Paul all of Crawfordsville, and two granddaughters.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at Dorman funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, Sept. 12, at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery at 11:00 am.
