Rose C. Bourgeois, 93, of Orangefield, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be AT 10:00 am, Saturday, Sept. 14, at St. Helen Catholic Church, in Orangefield. Officiating will be Father George Kidangen. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Orange. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8 ;00 pm, Friday at the church; with a Rosary recited at 6 ;00 pm.

Born in Crowley, La, on Dec. 28, 1919, Rose was the daughter of Anthony Cuccio and Sadie Molica Cuccio. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. Rose loved playing cards, dominoes, and gambling. She also enjoyed “rambling” and betting on football games.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Bourgeois; son, Richard Quebodeaux; and siblings, Catherine Cuccio Taylor, Frank Cuccio, Anthony Cuccio, Vivian Cuccio Laborde, and Lucille Cuccio.

She is survived by her sons, Harold Joseph Quebodeaux, Jr. and wife, Teddy of Bridge City, Anthony Charles Quebodeaux and wife, Kathy of Orangefield; daughter, Paula Legate and husband, Dicky of Orangefield; grandchildren, Cole, Amanda, Andrea, Julie, Anthony, Joseph, Lisa, Richard, Lee, Teresa; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Cuccio of Crowley; and sister, Eleanor Cuccio Premeaux of Crowley.
