St. Mary first grader fills big shoes

Caden Anderson, first grade student at St. Mary Catholic School, made more decisions today than just what he wanted for lunch. He was “Principal for the Day”. At Spring Festival his parents, Chris & Christine Anderson bid on a package for Cade that included serving as Principal of the school.

Caden served the role as Principal by participating in morning announcements, making important decisions, having the authority to choose his lunch and having it delivered to him, evaluating teachers performance and monitoring student behavior. One of his extremely important decision made today was to grant his own classroom 10 extra minutes of recess.

Mrs. Darby, St. Mary School Principal, stated that she felt Caden did an amazing job with his leadership abilities but was a little concerned with her future.
