Earl Hart “ Bubba “ Savoie, Jr., 54, of Orange, formerly of Jennings, La., passed away Monday, Sept. 16, at his residence.

Bubba was born on Sept. 17, 1958 in Jennings, to the late, Earl Hart Savoie, Sr. and the late, Dolories Donita (Dupont) Savoie. Bubba lived in Orange for the last 17 years, and was of the Baptist faith. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, and enjoyed shopping and having lunch with his friends.

Bubba is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Cindy Savoie.

Those who will most cherish his memory are his sisters, Minette Milner and husband, William of Welsh, Julie Keitel and husband, David of Parker, KS., and Danielle Savoie of Crowley, LA .; brother, Billy Cormier and wife, Paula of Hathaway; three nieces, Charity Keitel, Courtney Milner and Emily Keitel; seven nephews, Blake Milner, Nethaneel Savoie, Tyson Milner, Josh Keitel, Justin Savoie, Matthew Milner and Jacob Keitel; his special great nephew, Nathan Savoie, and stepmother, Dixie Savoie of Orange. Bubba is also survived by his great nieces, great nephews and numerous members of his extended family.

A memorial service to remember Bubba’s life will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday, Sept. 20, in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home, in Orange. A gathering of Bubba’s family and friends will be from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Cremation was held prior to services, and Bubba’s remains will be buried at a later date in the Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings.
