Dane Michael Barron, 55, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his home in Pahrump, Nevada after a short illness. Cremation services were held in Pahrump.

He was born in Orange, Texas on June 15, 1958 and was the son of Sheelagh and Daniel Lee Barron Jr. He was a 1976 graduate of LCM High School and entered the United States Air Force serving five years and achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal for Outstanding Professional Skills, Knowledge and Leadership. After the Air Force he joined the Department of Defense and traveled the world for 22 years of loyal and patriotic service.

Dane was preceded in death by his father Daniel Lee Barron Jr., two older brothers Daniel Wade Barron and Marshall Derek Barron; grandparents Daniel Lee and Lydia Barron Sr., Hesta Barron, Amy Armitage, P. J. Baxter-Ludlow, and Jack Armitage and father-in-law Charles Wiess.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years Geraldine “Dene” Barron of Pahrump, son Derek Lane Barron of Lufkin, Texas, daughters Crystal Violet Duffield and boyfriend Ryan Witt of Kerrville, Texas and Jessica Barron of Alexandria, Louisiana. He is also survived by his mother Sheelagh Barron, sister Shea Barron Bailey and brother M. Wade Barron and wife Nacole all of Orange and mother-in-law Vernita Wiess of Washington state, five sister-in-laws and four grandchildren.
