Jeanette Henley Chisholm

Jeanette Henley Chisholm, 72, of Orange, Texas celebrated her home going on Saturday, September 27, 2013.

She was born on May 26, 1941 to Carl and Helen Henley. She was married to Ben Chisholm for 50 years and together they owned and operated J & B Trucking in Odessa and Jet Auto Lube and The Gun Shop in Orange.

Jeanette loved painting, sewing and singing. She loved her family and she especially loved birthdays and holidays because everyone gathered at Mimi and Poppa’s house. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She enjoyed teaching the older ones to cook family favorites and the younger ones she sang to. Jeanette will be remembered for her unconditional love, her whit, her bold personality, her contagious laugh and her love for the Lord.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ben Chisholm; her brother, Reggie Henley and her sister, Pam Henley.

Jeanette’s legacy will forever be seen in her children, Wendy Young and husband, Billy of Orange, Lisa Chisholm of Orange and Chris Chisholm and wife, LeAnn of Orange; her grandchildren, Amber Young, Samantha Murillo and husband, Ben, Shelby Young, April Thrailkille and husband, Kelly, Nakala Delarue and husband, Josh, Deric Chisholm and fiancée, Teona Gross, Tyler Chisholm and Jessica Jeanis and husband, Ben; her great grandchildren, Jasmine Murillo, Autumn Snyder, Aurora Thrailkille, Bryson Chisholm, Harmony Chisholm, Karsyn Gross, Aiden Chisholm, Camden Roberts, Joshua Jeanis, Caleb Jeanis and Cale Chisholm; her brother, Larry Henley of Nashville, Tennessee; her sister, Barbara Henley of Detroit, Michigan.

Services by which to honor her life will be at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Community Church, 3400 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Ryan Olivier. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.
