E. Darlene Brown, 69, of Bridge City, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Officiating will be the Rev. E. Dale Lee, pastor of Cowboy Church of Orange County. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home in Bridge City.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Clint Lewis, Ryan Gaspard, Tyler Smith, Tony Brown, Mark Smith and David Robertson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gregory Lewis and Scott Lewis.

Born in Port Arthur on March 23, 1944, Darlene was the daughter of Lyman C. and Luella Mae (Kauffman) Foster. She was an administrative assistant at Chevron in Orange, Lorena Oates Elementary in West Orange and Lamar University in Orange.

Preceded in death by her parents, Darlene is survived by her husband, George W. Brown of Bridge City; daughter, Kimberly A. Dodson of Vidor; son and daughter-in-law, Vance E. and Teresa Comeaux of Houston; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and David Robertson of Bridge City and Kristi and Mark Smith of Houston; step-son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Beth Brown of Orange; nine grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Dianne G. and Charles Lewis of Port Arthur.
