Maidell Scales, 89, of Orange passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Orange Villa.

She was a lifelong resident of Orange; born in Orangefield on April 22, 1924 to the late Joseph Peveto and Blanche (Crain) Peveto. Maidell She was a loving person who took care and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Joseph Peveto, daughter, Rita Giles; son, Gardon Thibodeaux; sisters, Marie Morris, Rosales Croaker; brother, Phillip Peveto.

Maidell is survived by her daughter, Rose Cox and husband, Kenneth of Hico, TX; son, Joseph Thibodeaux and wife, Valerie of Kirbyville; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Cremation was held under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent for the family at www.dormanfuneralhome.com.
