Cathy Midgley, 59, of Orange passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a native of Beaumont; born Feb. 12, 1954, to the late Claudia Rae (Collingsworth) and Arthur David Goodman. She had lived in the Orange area since 1988 and was of the Baptist faith. Cathy worked alongside her husband delivering Little Debbie Cakes, where she was known as the Little Debbie Cake Lady. She enjoyed going down by the river, and also deer hunting with her husband. Cathy was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Goodman; sister, Carol Goodman.

Cathy is survived by her husband of 24 years, Leon Midgley; daughter, Shannon Manning of Winnie; son, Chad Wesley "Ted" Manning and fiancée, Toni Baker of Beaumont; sister, Christiann Thibault of Kirbyville; grandchild, Tatum Manning; nieces, Dena Smalley of Lumberton, and Susan Zernial of Lumberton, and nephews, David Frederick and Bryan Frederick, both of New Iberia.

A visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 6, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Dorman Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 7, at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.
