Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, the smash hit, full-length Broadway musical, is returning to the Lutcher Theater for two performances, Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7:30 PM, and Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 PM. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince under a spell placed by an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

This production is based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, and has been expanded into a full-length Broadway musical, complete with technical wizardry, special effects and illusions, and dazzling production numbers. It includes the same award-winning musical score by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, as well as several new songs, which did not appear in the film. A full cast of 30 with live orchestra and a healthy dose of Disney Magic bring the show to life in spectacular fashion.
