Dale Eldridge Lewis, 83, of Orange went to be with his Lord on Friday, Oct. 18, at 8:30, pm surrounded by his family.

He was a native of Beaumont; born Aug. 23, 1930 to the late Maud Adel (Yarborough) and Dewey Allison Lewis. He had lived most of his live in Orange, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Orange. Dale served his country in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division, as a paratrooper during the Korea Conflict, attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was employed as an operator with Ameripol Synpol for many years. Dale enjoyed going fishing and spending time with his grandchildren, especially camping at the beach with them. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed.

His was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Lewis.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley Holland Lewis; sons, Kyle Lewis and wife, Floy of Mauriceville, Jeff Lewis and wife, Terri of Orange; grandchildren, Lorrie, Julie, Lindsey, Courteney and Layne, and great-grandchildren, Colton, Lilly and Rylee.

A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 21, at 11:00 am at Jasper City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Dale Lewis to American Heart Association. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.dormanfuneralhome.com.
