Juanita Poole, 89, of Orange, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 at her residence.

Born on October 29, 1923 in Union Hill, Texas to her parents, A. E. Mize and Lillian Ethel (Thomas) Mize, she was a lifelong resident of Orange, a member of the First Baptist Church in Mauriceville and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Poole was an avid gardener of flowers and she much enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Poole is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin W. Poole; her son, L. Marvin Poole; her two sisters and three brothers. She leaves on to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy, her daughter, Germaine Louviere of Vidor; her sons, Lynn Poole and wife, Nancy of Beaumont and Virgil Poole and wife, Susan of Runge, Texas; her sister, Edna Henson of Galveston; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services by which to honor Mrs. Poole’s life will be at 2 P.M. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange with Reverend Kevin Brown, officiating. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow services where she will be laid to rest next to her husband and son at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange.

A gathering of Mrs. Poole’s family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

Honoring Mrs. Poole as pallbearers are Adraid Poole, Jeremy Poole, Gary Bearden, George Mize, Jerry Black and Michael Louviere. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Black and Tyler Bearden.
