Nita Clarice Mehl, 65, of Bridge City, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. Serving as Pallbearers will be Olan Weeks, John White, Joel “Dode” White, Larry Rivas, Kade Bland, Tyler Richard, Joseph F. “Trey” Hebert and Rayburn J. Hebert.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Born in Port Neches on March 26, 1948, Nita was the daughter of John Cecil White and Marie Ethyl (East) White. She was an executive secretary at James River. Nita loved being a grandmother. She loved attending all of her grandchildren’s sporting events and tending to her flowers and plants.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and nephews, Jimbo Noland and Chad Richard. Nita is survived by her husband, Kyle Mehl of Bridge City; daughter, Brandie L. Richard of Bridge City; and son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie L. and Donna Richard of Bridge City.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tyler Richard, Kade Bland, Victoria “Tori” Richard, Rhoni Nicole Richard, Joseph F. “Trey” Hebert and Rayburn J. Hebert; sisters, Sarah Weeks, Sue Harrington and Addie “Dee Dee” Rivas; brothers, John T. White, Dode White, Hayden White; and many nieces and nephews.
