A man who was observed in the Waffle House parking lot, on his hands and knees talking to the concrete, was arrested for public intoxication.

Orange Police were dispatched to the restaurant in the 4200 block of 27th St. Monday, Nov. 18,  at 7:19 am, in reference to a possibly intoxicated subject. When officers arrived at the scene, they were unable to find any subject fitting the description of the man.

The suspect, Joshua Curtis Beard, of Ellisville, Ms., was finally spotted running toward the Best Texas Inns and Suites. Police followed Beard into the hotel where he was arrested for public intoxication. He was transported to the Orange County Jail, where he was booked and released to the jail staff.
