Itamar DeLafuente, 53, of Mauriceville, passed away Friday, Dec. 6.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, Dec. 10, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at DelRose Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Born in Las Choapas, Veracruz, Mexico, on Dec. 10, 1959, Itamar was the son of Guadalupe DeLafuente and Paula Alvarez DeLafuente. He was a house mover for Williamson’s House Moving and Leveling, and retired after 35 years. Itamar love to travel, fish, hunt, and camp.

He was preceded in death by his father, and is survived by his mother; son, Itamar DeLafuente, Jr.; daughter, Dianna DeLafuente; six brothers and four sisters; his children’s mother, Irma Lozano; and his best friend and caregiver, Renee Williamson.
