Ronald Dale “ Pee Wee “ Hudson, 67, of Millsap, formerly of Orange, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Weatherford Regional Medical Center in Weatherford.

He was born April 9, 1946 in Orange. He was the son of Travis Hudson and Verna Mae (Lechner) Hudson, and had lived in Millsap since 1998. Pee Wee worked as a Terminal Manager for a trucking company, and most recently went to work for his daughter and son-in-law managing the family ranch. He had also previously lived in Waco, and was a member of the Western Heights Baptist Church in Waco.

Pee Wee enjoyed spending time in the outdoors with his family, where he also enjoyed barbecuing and sharing his cooking. His family will most fondly remember his brisket and sausage, as well as the secret sauce he used in his cooking. The best and most rewarding part of his job at the ranch was being able to be a full time grandfather to his grandchildren.

Pee Wee is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Juanita Cooper and Eva Eloise McClain; brother, Travis Charles Hudson, and his third wife, Jennifer Hudson.

Those who will most cherish his memory are his daughters, DeAnn Herbel and husband, Dene of Millsap, and Amy McCarley and husband, Mike of Blue Ridge; sons, Ronnie Hudson and wife, Dal of Argyle, and Clinton Hudson and wife, Mindi of Lott; brother, Willard Hudson and wife, Doris of Orange; seven grandchildren, Sydney, Sierra, Cade, Seth, Megan, Ashley and Tyler. Pee Wee is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.

Services to remember Pee Wee’s life will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, Dec. 12, in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, with Brother John Fortenberry, officiating. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow services in the Hudson Cemetery in Orange. A gathering of Pee Wee’s family and friends for a time of reflection will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
