Last updated 12/23/2013 at Noon

Terri Lynne Russell Perry (Tiger) was born July 24, 1963, to Norma and Ken Russell (deceased). After bravely fighting cancer for less than a year, she lost the battle on Dec. 22.

Terri leaves behind three loving children – Megan (27), Blake (21), and Kirbi (11), as well her precious grandson, Brody, to whom she was known as “T”; and her loving husband, Abe Tiger. She also leaves behind her mother; sisters Jeannie Perkins and Cindy Henley (Breakey); brother Kenny Russell; nephews Jeff Perkins and Trent Gephart; nieces, Lyndie Mansfield, Taylor Henley, Shelby Henley, and Katie Jean Russell; and numerous members of her loving extended family.

Terri was a life-long resident of Orange.

Until becoming disabled by Crohn’s disease, she worked in the banking industry.

After her illness left her unable to work, Terri dedicated her life to her children – attending every sporting practice and game.

She volunteered with LCM school to raise money for the football teams as well as for the graduating class of 2011.

Terri had a dynamic personality and was deeply loved in the community.

She touched so many lives – maintaining true friendships since high school, creating more along the way, and touching the lives of young people though association with her children.

“Ms.

Terri” will be missed by many.

The outpouring of support and love since cancer was first discovered has been amazing and a testament to what a great person Terri was in the short life she lived on this earth.

A celebration of Terri's life will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, Dec. 24, in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, with the Rev. Keith Meyer, pastor of Old First Orange Baptist Church, officiating. Rite of committal and Interment will follow services at Parish Cemetery in Little Cypress. A gathering of Terri's family and friends for a time of sharing will be from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. In honoring Terri's wishes to celebrate her life rather than a sad event, at her request, the family will be wearing the color purple in her honor and extend the request for guests to join us in purple or bright colors rather than black.

Pallbearers will be Blake Perry, Kenny Russell, T- Ray Vincent, Mark Sonnier, Ethan Sonnier, and Zack Sonnier. Honorary pallbearers include Jeff Perkins, Ken Perkins, Sunny Landry, and Chris Parker.

Condolences may be expressed for the family at http://www.dormanfuneralhome.com/.
