Lawrence Moore Levingston, Jr., 83, of Orange, passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, at Baptist Hospital in Orange.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A gathering of family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Born in Orange, on July 22, 1930, Lawrence was the son of Lawrence Moore and Myrtle Louise (White) Levingston. He served in the United States Navy and later was the captain of a yacht. He enjoyed fishing, and photographing wildlife and the outdoors. He also loved sports, especially football and LSU.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and is survived by his sister, Patsy R. Hadaway of Borne; nephew, Larry Hadaway and wife, Mary Ann of Iota, LA; niece, Debbie Sanders and husband, Ronald of Borne; numerous great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
