Glenn N. Sistrunk, 87, of Vidor died Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas, in Beaumont.

A native of Mitchell, LA., Glenn was a longtime resident of Vidor, and a retired service manager with Mid City Motors. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, and was a longtime member and deacon at Trinity Baptist Church in Vidor.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, at Trinity Baptist Church in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, at Trinity Baptist Church.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Ross and Pearl Sistrunk; and brothers B. W. Sistrunk, James Pierce Sistrunk, Bradford Sistrunk, and William Dean Sistrunk.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 63 years Jean Sistrunk of Vidor; sons Richard Neal Sistrunk and wife Paula of Orange, Russell Glenn Sistrunk and wife Patricia of Huffman; daughters Paula Jean Gibson and husband Ted of Reno, NV., and Merle Gayle Bennett and husband Brad of Vidor; brother George Sistrunk of Pipe Creek, TX., nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
