OHS students compete in Robotics Competition

Orangefield High School students competed in the TCEA Area 5 Robotics Competition on Jan. 25. Sixty teams composed of 225 students participated in four different robotics competitions. Students from third through twelth grades designed and programmed Lego-based robots to perform specific tasks.

The OHS Arena Team, consisting of Brandon McKay and Russell Leavings, placed 16th in the competition.

The OHS Inventions Team, consisting of Kaleb Longron, John Darwin, Weston Potter, and Alexis Lytle, placed 2nd in the competition and will be advancing to the State competition on April 12.
