Mory was born Oct.12, 1963, in Orange to Lee Roy and Kitty Bickham. She graduated from Deweyville High School in 1982, where she met the love of her life and high school sweetheart Brian Dans.

Mory and Brian were married on Nov. 18, 1983 in Deweyville. Soon after they married, their family began to blossom. As her husband pursued his teaching degree, Mory took on the role of a loving wife and dedicated mother to her two daughters, Katie born on March 13, 1985 and Dannielle born on Sept. 28, 1987.

Mory was a very tender soul, who loved everyone she met and knew. She loved her parents with all of her heart and her family as well. Aside from her heavenly father, family always came first in Mory’s life. Her days were spent loving on everyone that surrounded her. She enjoyed frequent shopping trips with her daughters and vacations at the beach with family and friends.One of her greatest loves comes in the form of her grandson, Kamen Collins, they spent many hours playing together and developed a lasting bond like no other.

Mory is survived by her husband of 30 years, Brian Dans; two daughters, Katie Knobloch and Tim, and Dannielle Collins and Robby, all of Deweyville; grandson; Kamen Collins of Deweyville; two brothers, Lee Roy Bickham, Jr. and Carol, of Hughes Springs, and Thomas Bickham and Melissa, of Chancellor, AZ; sister Denise Slone and Jerry, of Deweyville;.

Mory is also survived by her mother-in-law, Dorothy Dans; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steven and Joyce Dans, Phillip Dans, Jay Dans, Kelly Dans, Darryl and Kim Dans, Dennis and Michael Dans, Wayne and Julie Guidry and her beloved nieces and nephews.

Mory is proceeded in death by her mother and father, Lee Roy and Kitty Bickham, and her great-grandmother, Mory Tompkins; her father-in-law, Jesse Dans, as well as aunts and uncles gone before her.

Mory spent her life loving on all who she met and she will be remembered and loved always.

Mory’s visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at First Baptist Church of Deweyville. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, at 11:00 am at the church, with the Rev. Damon Bickham officiating. Burial will follow at Deweyville Cemetery in Deweyville.

Honoring Mory as pallbearers will be Joshua Slone, Jeremy Slone, Kerry Bickham, Kirk Bickham, Matthew Tompkins and Zack Wellons. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Knobloch, Robby and Kamen Collins, Jaxon, Mason and Tucker Slone.
