Mary Ann Badeaux Lawrence, 83, of Deweyville passed away on Friday, Feb. 21, at her residence.

She was born on March 12, 1933 to Julia (Munseys) and Theodore Badeaux in Orange. She was a Nurse’s Aid ( CNA) for many years. Mary was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Lawrence Sr.; sons, Mike Lawrence, John Lawrence; daughter, Judy Lawrence; brothers, Leroy Trahan, T.A. Badeaux, Dudley Badeaux, Edward Badeaux, Dewey Badeaux; sisters, Stella Badeaux Cheatwood, Iris Badeaux Omak, and Matilda Badeaux Chance.

Mary is survived by her sons, Roy Lawrence and wife, Vicky of Mauriceville, Ray Lawrence Jr. and wife, Vickie of Mauriceville, Pete Lawrence and wife, Debra of Orange, Tommy Lawrence and wife, Cora of Deweyville; daughters, Joyce Newman and husband Jim of Vancouver, WA, Betty “Jodie” Lingo and husband, Rick of Washougal, WA, Janie Fontenot and husband, Jerry of Vinton; 23 grandchildren, and 49 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Ernest Badeaux of Houston; sisters, Delpha (Pee Wee) Badeaux Hernandez of Jackson, MS, and Laura Badeaux, of Orange.

A visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 24, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Dorman Funeral Home. A funeral service will held on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bland Cemetery in Orange.

Honoring Mary as pallbearers will be Chris Mevcer, Jonathon Janise, Colbey Smith, Jeff Benoit, Ray Thomas and John Gradnigo Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Donald Cummins.
