Jo Lynn Burns Peveto Withrow, 68, of Orange, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be the Rev. Randy Branch of Wesley United Methodist Church in Orange. Serving as pallbearers will be John Withrow, Greg Withrow, Frank Quilici, Stephen Padgett, Rex Peveto, and Eric Peveto. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in New Orleans, on April 5, 1945, Jo Lynn was the daughter of A.F. Burns Jr. and Margie (Green) Burns. She worked as a nurse at St. Elizabeth, was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and volunteered her time at the soup kitchen of First Presbyterian in Orange. Jo Lynn was a lady of faith, and enjoyed serving with the Garth House and the Women of Wesley. Her time and heart was spent with her grandchildren. She battled cancer for over 20 years with great strength, and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and first husband, Simon Peveto.

Jo Lynn is survived by her husband, James “Buddy” Withrow of Orange; daughter, Janie Johnson and husband Robert of Orange; son, Brent Peveto and wife Tracy of Orange; step-sons, John Withrow and wife Jessica, of The Woodlands, and Greg Withrow and wife Lisette of Friendswood. Jo Lynn is also survived by her grandchildren, Brett Peveto, Kenna Peveto, and Jacob Johnson; step grandchildren, Liam Withrow, Bella Withrow, Campbell Withrow, Carly Withrow, and Addie Withrow; and sister, Janie Melton and husband Tommy of Orange.
