Edith Lingo Myers, 72, of Orange passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, at her residence. She was best known for working at Elmer's Drive-In for many years as a car hop.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Essie "Jewel" Lingo; sons, Ira Davis, David James Davis; husband, Mason Myers; brothers, Elton Lingo, Lawrence "Cotton" Lingo, John Wesley Lingo; sisters, Hazel Nesbitt, Ethel LeBeouf, Vivian Lembo; son-in-law, Jerry Cockerham.

Edith is survived by her daughter, Mona Davis Cockerham; sons, Ramon Eugene Davis, Ramsey "Billy" Davis and wife, Tammy, all of Orange; daughter-in-law, Debra Richardson of San Antonio; brothers, Vernon Lingo, David Lingo and wife, Angie, all of Orange; sister, Charlotte Tournear of Orange; brother-in-law, Jim Nesbitt of Brazoria; step daughter, Sandra Bland and husband, Josh of Deweyville; stepsons, Henry Myers and wife, Pam and Kenneth Myers and wife, Barbara all of Orange. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Dorman Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1, at 12:00 at Davis Cemetery in Bonwier, with a gathering of family and friends prior to the service at 10:30 am at the funeral home.

Honoring Edith as pallbearers will be David Lingo, Gaylan Belair, David Foreman, Larry Granger Jr., James Mitchell and Vernon Lingo. Honorary pallbearers are Eugene Davis and Billy Davis.
