The Bridge City Girl’s Powerlifting Team competing in the Region 4 Division 2 Regional Powerlifting Meet in Palacios, Texas on Wednesday, February 26, 2014.

In the 114 weightclass, Junior Jacey Walker placed third lifting a total weight of 610 pounds.

In the 165 weight class Junior, Sarah Sams placed fifth, lifting a total weight of 635 pounds and Freshman Carlee Dearing placed ninth with a total weight of 575 pounds.

In the 181 weight class, Junior Rikki Bodin placed fourth with a total weight of 625 pounds and Freshman, Samantha Hargrave placed fifth with a total weight of 555 pounds.

In the 198 weight class, Sophomore Emily Warren placed first in her weight class lifting a total weight of 715 pounds.

Emily also broke a regional record in bench press by benching 150 pounds.

Jacey Walker and Emily Warren will represent Bridge City at the State Powerlifting Meet in Corpus Christi on March 15.
