Verline Sigler, 90, entered her heavenly home on Monday, March 10. We rejoice that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her husband, O.W. “Pete” Sigler and great granddaughter, Parker Jane Cagle.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 14, at Cove Baptist Church in Orange. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeff Bell of Calvary Baptist Church in Port Acres. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Burch, Terrell Burch, David Smitheart, Billy Wilson, Roger Hall, Larry Ferguson, and honorary pallbearer, Grady Johnson.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Elizabeth, La, on Nov. 2, 1923, Verline was the daughter of W.S. and Hattie Elizabeth (Jones) Earl. She was a faithful member of Cove Baptist Church for over 60 years, and often volunteered with the Lutcher Theatre of Orange. Verline frequently assisted in local elections. She was an excellent cook who deeply loved, and was loved by her family.

Verline was also preceded in death by her siblings.

She is survived by her daughters, Ann and husband Dr. Charles Crim of Nashville, and Nancy and husband David Mumbach of West Orange; grandchildren, Eric Mumbach of Fort Worth, Damon Crim of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, Ashley and husband Blake Boyd, Melissa Crim, Aleah and husband Adam Cagle, all of Nashville; three great-grandchildren, Alec Crim-Bell, Cooper Boyd, and Holden Boyd. Verline is also survived by her brother, Charles Earl, of Metarie, La.
