Orange County Health/Restaurant Inspections
Orange County Health Inspector James Scales made the following inspections on area businesses from March 12 through March 18:
Homemade Donuts, 6377 FM 1442, Orangefield – Sausage and boudain found out of proper temperature; using same pan liners multiple times, when they should be used only once.
Kwick Stop #1 Valero, 2000 Texas Ave., Bridge City – Found all cold sandwiches out of proper temperature.
Diamond Shamrock #290, 3900 N. 16th St., Orange
Showbiz Cinema, 3330 Bowling Ln., Orange – Pipes at wash sinks need repair, water runs from sink to floor drains; cinema does not have current Food Service Permit.
Weisman Food Mart, 2323 Lutcher Dr., Orange – New owners were advised that store name and address needs to be on all bags of ice sold.
Sammy’s Stop, 2016 Pine Bark Blvd., Orange – Slime found in the ice machine.
The Crawfish Hut, 1804 16th St., Orange
Cardinal Dollar Express, 1160 Texas Ave., Bridge City – Pre-opening inspection.
Decent Store, 110 Texla Rd., Vidor – Need to date all foods inside reach in coolers; Need to cover all foods in coolers and freezers; duct tape was holding the door to the ice machine together – needs repair; walls around grill need to be cleaned of old dust; light shields are needed throughout store.
Family Dollar #5258, 115 W. Bolivar, Vidor – Several dead roaches found in storage room and on sticky traps.
Step-N-Go, 234 S. Main St., Vidor – Slime found in ice machine; ice scoop found laying on top of machine; front panel of ice machine not attached, and needs to be attached to the machine.
Tekoa Academy, 1408 W. Park Ave., Orange – No certified food manager on staff.
Whataburger #536, 2300 MacArthur Dr, Orange – Floors in walk-in freezer and storage racks above compartment sink are beginning to rust, and need repair. Establishment needs to post all food manager certificates in front.
Bridge City Elementary School, 1035 W. Roundbunch, Bridge City
Wal Mart Deli, 3115 Edgar Brown Dr., Orange – Pipes at front sink dripping water into bucket – needs repair; area around fryers need to be cleaned of old grease and trash; all food manager certificates should be posted in front.
