William “Bill” Self, 92, of Orange, passed away Friday, March 28, at his residence. A funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 1, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be the Rev. George Kidangen of St. Helen Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden in Orange.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 10 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, April 1, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Cloudy, Ok, on July 5, 1921, Bill was the son of George W Self and Emma M. (Pritchett) Self. Bill was a Dallas Cowboys fan and loved fishing. He enjoyed feeding the fish in the pond and the chickens. Bill liked to invent “tools” to make life easier.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dorothy Self; step daughter Dianna Dronet, and six sisters.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Linda and husband Harvey Adair of Athens, Tx; son, David Randazzo of Mason, Tx; step daughters, Gloria Stearns, Linda Bray, and Peggy and husband Laurie Miller, Jr. of Orange, and Susan and husband Bill Skinner of Hemphill; step sons, Larson Hebert of Arlington, and Mark Hebert of Bridge City; 17 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Menard, James Dronet, Bill Skinner, Joseph Marjolet, Rodney Miller, and Corey Randazzo.
