Saturday, April 5, at approximately 10:29 am, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center received a call of an unknown medical call on South China Road, east of Hwy 365.

Upon arrival of Acadian Ambulance Service and members of Jefferson County ESD #3, it was realized that the individual was deceased. A death investigation was initiated by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. There is only limited information available as of this time, which is as follows: A naked, adult white male, was located in the rear seat of a 2013 Tan VW Jetta. The deceased male was located wrapped in a sheet.

An officer with JCSO said that at the current time there is no identity, or descriptors as the crime scene investigation is continuing.

Additional information will be released as it is known. Judge Ray Chesson pronounced the individual deceased and ordered an autopsy.
