Blue Oldbury benefit planned for May 17

There will be a benefit for long time Vidor resident Blue Oldbury, Saturday, May 17, from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. The benefit will be held at Turning Point Church, 3600 N. Main, in Vidor.

Oldbury, who is a veteran, was recently diagnosed with liver and lung cancer. All proceeds from the benefit will assist him with living expenses.

Included in the day’s activities, are silent and live auctions, live music, classic car display, bake sale, and barbecue plates. The plates will consist of brisket, potato salad, and beans, and will be $10 each.

Those attending the benefit are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, and spend the day contributing to this great cause.
