Luella Viola Winebrenner, 83, of Mauriceville, passed away Friday, April 4, at Harbor House Hospice in Beaumont.

Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Mr. Michael Wayne Green.

Born in Austin, on Aug. 21, 1930, Luella was the daughter of August Dwight Lang and Luella Fay Rogers Lang. Luella met with the seniors every Tuesday at McDonald’s and was a member of The Old Timers. She enjoyed cooking and would not allow anyone to leave her home hungry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Alexander Winebrenner, Sr.; and brother, Micky Lang.

Luella is survived by her daughters; Luella Ruth and Mike Romano of Mauriceville, Kathryn Grace and Mike Stark of Mauriceville, and Dorothy Petite Budd of Deweyville; son, Paul Alexander Winebrenner, Jr. of Alvin; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Carol and Tom Speed, and Mary; brothers, James and Jan Lang, and Fritz Lang all of Houston; and special niece Evelyn and her husband Tommy Morris.
