Farrier Cormier Jr., 77, of Orange passed away on Sunday, April 20, at his residence.

Farrier was born in Lake Charles, to Marie (LaFleur) and Farrier Cormier Sr. He had lived the last 10 years in Orange, and was of the Baptist Faith. Farrier had many talents; he was a country musician and song writer, a professional boxer and was owner of a construction company. Farrier loved spending time with his grandchildren. Farrier was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed dearly.

,He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jo Ann Cormier; daughter, Denise Cormier; sister, Rite Harrington.

He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Cormier and husband, James Goodwin; sister, Jan Reaux and husband, Willie, Lee Johnson, Leann Moon; grandchildren, Brandy Hornsby, Triche Walker, Kevin Hewgley, Wayne Joyce, Chad McMillen, Wesley Cole, Derral Chebaud; great grandchildren, Karma Hewgley, and one on the way.

The family will have a memorial service on Monday, April 28, at 1:00 pm, at the Harvest Chapel Church, at 1305 Irving Street, West Orange, with Sister Ruth Bruch officiating.
