Wilbert J. LeDoux

Wilbert J. LeDoux, 85, of Orangefield, passed away on Monday, April 28, at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 1, at St. Helen Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father George Kidangen. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Basile, La., on Dec. 12, 1928, he was the son of Alexson LeDoux and Edna Marie Fusilier LeDoux Foxworth. Wilbert was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the VFW, and the McDonald’s Coffee Crew. He was a United States Navy veteran, serving from 1946 through 1947 and was a retired 62 year member of the Pipefitters Local 195.

Wilbert was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Louella Harris and Lois Abbott; and brother, Preston J. LeDoux.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gladys Vayon LeDoux of Orangefield; sons, Larry LeDoux of Cedar Creek and Michael LeDoux of Orangefield; daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Bob Coberly of Coppell, Patricia and Wynne Mires of Orangefield, and Susan and Donny Clark of League City; grandchildren, Melissa Watts, Katrina Jones, Spencer Coberly, Adam Coberly, Heather Mires, Jacalyn Mires, Stacey Rodrick, Brittney Agerton, Paris Clark, Madison Clark, Morgan Clark, and Jacob LeDoux; 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Julius E. LeDoux, and Ronald R. LeDoux; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Serving as pallbearers will be Larry LeDoux, Michael LeDoux, Wynne Mires, Donny Clark, Bob Coberly, Jacob LeDoux, Spencer Coberly, and Adam Coberly.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
