Blue Oldbury, 80, of Vidor died Thursday at his residence.

Blue was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. He was owner operator of the Mobile gas station on Hwy. 105, and Rent-A-Wreck, among other business in Vidor over the years. Blue was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served his country in the US Army.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 7, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor.

A gathering for family and friends will begin at 7:00 pm Sunday, July 6, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

Blue was preceded in death by his first wife Norma Lynn Keen Oldbury; daughter Barbara Oldbury Tamayo; granddaughter Jennifer Smith, and sister Modesta Willey.

He is survived by his wife Jean Oldbury of Vidor; daughters Renee Keen Shaw of Las Vegas, NV, Michele Oldbury Ochoa, and Juliann Oldbury Johns, both of Vidor; brothers Burdette Oldbury, Dean Oldbury, Delmer Oldbury and Blaine Oldbury, all of Vidor; sisters Joissine Tucker, Nelwyn Marion and Frederica Peck, all of Vidor, 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
