Workforce Solutions of Southeast Texas announces the reopening of the Orange Workforce Center at its new location, 2415 16th St., in the Putnam Plaza. The previous location was on Green Ave.

“We are pleased to be able to have the center reopen to serve the employers and job seekers of Orange county. The new location is very visible and easily accessible for the public”, states Marilyn Smith, executive director.

The new workforce center is approximately 3200 square feet and will have several computers available for the job search activity, in addiction to printers, telephones, and fax capability. The facility has space available to accommodate employer and job seeker events, including a computer lab.

Employers that are interested in utilizing the facility for hiring events, assessments, or other activities, please contact Veda Butler, site coordinator, at 1-877-834-JOBS (5627). The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.

The official grand opening, and ribbon cutting ceremony, in conjunction with the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce, will be Tuesday, July 29, at 10:00 am.

The Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas board is a business-led group of volunteers that evaluates and oversees the delivery of all workforce training and employment services in Hardin, Jefferson and Orange counties.
