Monroe H. Oxley, Jr., 65, of Vidor died Saturday, July 19, at his residence.
A native of Tokyo, Japan, Monroe was a longtime resident of Vidor and was a retired process operator with Mobil Oil Refinery in Beaumont. Monroe served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, at Memorial Funeral Home.
Monroe is survived by his wife, Melanie Dell "Smith" Oxley of Vidor; son, Monroe Nathaniel Oxley and wife Jennifer, of Georgetown; daughters, Christy Michele Rodriguez and husband David, Melanie Elizabeth Oxley-Price, all of Humble, and Miranda Noel Raymo and husband Bill, III of Orange; sister Elizabeth Goertz of Vale, AZ.; seven grandchildren, Logan Brading, Adrianna Rodriguez, Azula Raymo, Bill Raymo, IV., Happy Raymo, Harper Raymo, and Azaelia Oxley, and one great granddaughter Mara Perla.
