Texas A&M AgriLife offers bee class
Dr. Roy Stanford, County Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources will be offering a hands-on year long course, beginning at 6:00 pm on Aug. 7 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office, located at 11475 FM 1442 Orange.
The class will start with a basic hive of bees, overwinter the hive, and split the hive in the spring. At the end of the course, a successful outcome will be two complete hives and a honey crop. The class fee is $200 and due the first day of class. This fee includes the starter honeybee hive with bees. Other equipment investments are dependent on individual management objectives.
