The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Dorothy Finley, 66, of Orange will be Saturday, Aug. 23, at 11:00 a.m. at the El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Rites of Christian burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the church.

She died Aug. 10, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Orange Hospital.

A native of Hemphill, she resided in Orange 47 years and was employed as a Teacher’s Aide at St. Mary’s School. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one son, Derrick Finley; two brothers, C.W. Simmons and MacArthur Simmons, both of Orange, and two grandchildren.
