WO-C to hold substitute orientation

West Orange – Cove CISD will hold a Substitute Orientation on Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the West Orange – Stark High School senior cafeteria.
The orientation session is for new and current teacher, paraprofessional, food service, and custodial substitutes. All substitutes are asked to bring their driver’s license and social security card.
All substitutes are encouraged to attend.
Individuals interested in applying for substitute positions may visit the WOCCISD website at www.woccisd.net to apply on-line. Applications are also available at the WOC Educational Service Center at 902 W. Park Avenue.
Teacher substitutes are required to have 24 hours of college credit. Classroom observation hours are also required. Paraprofessional substitutes must have a high school diploma or a GED.
All WOCCISD substitutes are also required to complete background checks.
