Something big is brewing once again this fall at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET). From 6:00-10:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10, AMSET will host its 8th annual Art of Beer fundraising event where beer lovers and those new to the brew will find dozens of the finest specialty and seasonal libations from around the world paired with complementary food dishes, cheeses, beer floats, entertainment and much more. It is here that beer lovers find the newest unique specialty releases not readily available elsewhere.

This foam-filled and adventurous fund-raising event will benefit AMSET’s exhibitions and education programs while taking the beer tasting idea to another level yet again.

To set the beer-tasting mood, Art of Beer 2014 will also include lively musical entertainment performed by local music powerhouse Katie Whitney and the Draw.

“We are excited to once again be bringing such a wide selection of craft beer to many Southeast Texans,” said Art of Beer Chair, Jeffrey Wheeler. “Art of Beer continues to offer patrons a whole new array of the best beer from across the globe carefully selected and paired with amazing food dishes.”

This year’s Art of Beer will feature the return of local distributors Giglio and Del Papa bringing their most unique beers from locations spanning the globe for sampling. Providing specialty baskets for this year’s beer tasting extravaganza are Debb’s Liquor and Miller’s Liquor of Beaumont.

Art of Beer 2014 combines the best of both worlds, pairing the finest specialty and seasonal brews from around the world with complementary food dishes and top-notch entertainment to offer guests a delectable extravaganza. Spicing up the cuisine offerings will be food pairings from Zummos Sausages, Two Magnolias, Crazy Jose’s, Rao’s Bakery, Green Light Kitchen, McAlister's Deli, H-E-B Plus on Dowlen, Basic Foods and more. Artisanal cheeses and beer floats will once again round out the evening.

As an extra special bonus, this year AMSET will offer patrons an opportunity to participate in a Premium VIP Beer Tasting Session from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. for $60 per person. This session will include an exclusive selection of premium beers and an opportunity to chat with local beer experts.

So don’t miss your chance to enjoy lively entertainment and sample unique global brews while benefiting a great cause.

Admission to the Art of Beer is limited, so advance reservations are recommended. Tickets are $40 per person pre-sale and $50 per person at the door. Pre-sale tickets will be sold until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9. Members can purchase tickets at a one-time flat rate of $40 per person.
