Stallions come away with wins over Newton

The Stallions played in Newton and came home with two nail biter wins.

The 7th grade team won 8-0 with a TD and two point conversion from Wilbert Ned. Keontae Strother and Jackson Tims helped Ned lead the offense to the W. Cameron Dauphine anchored the Defense with Hykiem Taylor adding a QB sack and Tims recovering a fumble.

The 8th grade team fought their way back from behind and beat a talented Newton team 24-22. Brettlin Wiley scored 2 rushing TD's, Ja'vonn Ross added another and Deiondr'e Hawthrone returned a kick off for a touchdown. Jordan Johnson recovered a fumble early and Ja'Corry Brady had a QB sack so slow the Eagles down. Kavyn Cooper lead the D the entire night and came up with an interception in the 4th quarter to seal the deal.

The 7th grade team will play at Liberty on Tuesday and the 8th grade will host Liberty on Thursday for homecoming.
