Gilford Broussard, 77, of Vidor died Oct. 7, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Gilford was a longtime resident of Vidor, and was a truck driver for Trinity Ind., where he then later retired from.

The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Saturday Oct. 11, at the funeral home.

Gilford is survived by his daughters Lori Mathews, and Jeannie LaBorde both of Vidor; sons Glen Broussard of Beaumont, and Leeward Broussard of Vidor; brothers Eddie Broussard of Beaumont, Dupre Broussard Jr of Walker, LA, and Nick Broussard of Orange; sisters Nabbie Brown of Duson, LA, Ronola Daigle of Church Point, LA, and Barbara Meche of Rayne, LA; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
