Robert “Bob” Moore, 74, of Kountze, died Saturday, Oct. 11. He was born on May 15, 1940, in Dayton, to Lois Tebedeaux and Wayland Merle Moore, and had been a long time resident of the area. Bob was a United States Navy veteran and was retired with IBM.

He is survived by his wife, Iris Moore of Kountze; nephews, Steven Moore of Kountze, Allen Moore of New Orleans, and James Moore of Jasper; nieces, Carol Reppel of New Orleans, and Lois Flowers of Orangefield; and many other nieces, nephews, and loving family members.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Merle Moore, Jack Moore, James Moore, Burt Moore, Don Moore, and Darrell Moore.

A gathering of Mr. Moore’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, Oct. 13, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. There will be an additional gathering beginning at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Broussard’s. Interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
