Vida Mae "Sister" Redman, 87, of Nederland passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, at her residence.

Sister was born in Groesbeck, July 6, 1927 to Quinn C. and Mima (Rasco) Redman. She enjoyed doing cross stitching, collecting pictures, watching TV and going shopping. Sister had lived the last 35 years in Nederland with her care giver, and niece, Deanna Hailey and her husband, Bill. She was a loving and caring person, who will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clyde Redman, Alford Quinn Redman, Marcus Redman, Malcolm Redman; and sisters, Leone Barge, Bernice Jones.

Sister is survived by her sister, Nina Burgess and husband, Brady of Nederland; sister in law, Martha Redman of Spurger and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 11:00 am, at Nederland Avenue Church of Christ, at 2310 Nederland Ave., Nederland, TX, with a visitation one hour prior to the services. Officiating the services will be Tony Pulliam and Michael Williams.A committal service and interment will be held at Zavalla Cemetery in Zavalla, at 2:30 pm.
