The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Rope for the Kids.

The 1st Annual Rope for the Kids event is being held Oct. 18^, benefiting Advocates for Children, Inc starting at 2:00 pm.

Saddles will be given to average winners in each roping, and Gist Trophy Buckles will be given for 2nd – 5th place winners. Youth dummy roping Gist Trophy Buckles will also be given out in three age divisions.

There will be food, a moon walk and a George Straight guitar to be auctioned off before the final rounds.

Location for the event will be at the Cowboy Church Orange County Arena, 673 FM 1078, Orange.
