Bill Virgil Wallace, 95, of Orange, passed away on Oct. 22, in Orange.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Monday, Oct. 27, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be his nephew, the Rev. Alan Wallace. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m., Monday Oct. 27, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Garber, Ok, on July 11, 1919, he was the son of Walter Harvey Wallace and Mildred (Cooper) Wallace. Bill served in the United States Army from July 22, 1943 to June 25, 1945, he was a Technician Fifth Grade (T5), and served in the 541 1st Regiment, attached to the 101st Airborne. He later worked as an Operator for Gulf Oil Refinery.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Mike Wallace.

He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Betty Wallace of Orange; brothers, Glen Wallace of Bridge City and Jim Wallace of Beaumont; sisters, Peggy Rambo of Dennison, and Margaret Cathey of Tonkawa, Ok.
